About Me

I am a final year PhD candidate in Department of Computer Science at University of Virginia. Since 2013, I have been working on applying machine learning algorithms to biological data. To gain expertise on computational models in the field of machine learning, I work under supervision of Dr. Yanjun Qi. At the same time, in order to understand the biological data and related tasks, I have worked closely with members of Adli Lab in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics under guidance of Dr. Mazhar Adli from 2012 to 2015. My current research involves developing efficient algorithms for bio-sequence analysis as well as applying deep learning models to novel biological applications.
